Michelangelo’s Pietà has always been one of my favorite sculptures — a masterpiece that defies time, emotion, and even the limits of marble itself. The realism he achieved is almost haunting; his figures feel alive, as if they’re merely covered in a layer of dust or makeup rather than carved from stone. What I love most about Michelangelo is that he never stopped pushing boundaries. He wasn’t just a sculptor or painter — he was a true Renaissance man, an authority in every discipline he touched.
