November 12, 2024. Forest’s North Lambton Eagles has qualified for the OFSAA girls’ basketball tournament for the first time in school history. The Eagles led from wire-to-wire in beating Lajeunese, 40-25 in Windsor for the SWOSSA A championship Tuesday. North Lambton led 14-7 after a quarter and took a 25-10 advantage into the intermission.
Petrolia to take a look at second ice pad possibilities

Kelly Bailey and Lisa Vanderwal, who call themselves dedicated hockey moms, started a petition urging Petrolia to build a second ice pad. They say the growth of girls hockey is, in part, spurring the need for more ice time. The pair took their idea to Petrolia Council Monday.

The former Chief Administrative Officer of Lambton County who retired in February 2023 is taking on the acting CAO reigns at Warwick Township. Warwick Township council approved the appointment at its July 8 meeting.

Wednesday, around 3:30 pm, firefighters were called to the seniors complex for a dryer fire. Crews moved quickly and were able to contain the damage to just the dryer itself, pulling the unit out of the apartment.

Lambton OPP said on social media officers had blocked off Petrolia Line from Tank Street to the west of the bridge “a due to an ongoing investigation.”.
