Unfortunately, it looks as though a second outage may throw a wrench in those plans, with reports pouring in that the PlayStation Network has gone down as well. According to crowdsourced tracker DownDetector,

Sony's PlayStation Network faced a significant outage on Tuesday, leaving gamers unable to access their accounts and affecting gamers worldwide.

According to the status update page with PlayStation, "You might have difficulty signing in or creating an account for PlayStation Network. We're working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
