The Greensboro Police Department has released plans for the funeral of one of their officers who was killed in the line of duty. On Monday, Greensboro Police Department shared the plans for Officer Michael Horan’s funeral on their Facebook page.

Funeral services are tentatively planned for Jan. 9 for Officer Michael Horan, formerly of New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

The Greensboro Police Department and assisting agencies will be escorting Officer Michael Horan back to Greensboro from Raleigh on Friday, Dec. 27.

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — The suspect in the murder of Greensboro Officer Michael Horan appeared in court on Thursday, Dec. 26. Tarell Isaac McMillian, 34, is charged with first-degree murder and was denied bond. He was in court over Zoom. He faces up to the death penalty or life in prison.
