The famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City has dazzled countless people for nearly a century, and despite the threat of a winter storm in the Northeast on Thursday, preparations are well underway to continue the holiday tradition again this year.

Six new balloons — including Disney's Minnie Mouse, Marshall from PAW Patrol and Spiderman — will make their parade debuts and more than 3.5 million people are expected to line the Manhattan parade route. Another 50-million-plus viewers are expected to watch on TV.
