Fortnite players, get ready to party like it's 2017. On Tuesday, Epic Games announced that Fortnite OG is returning on Dec. 6, and this time, it's staying for good. Fortnite OG allows players to experience the game as it was when it was first released back in September 2017.

In a tweet, developer Epic Games announced the OG Fortnite experience returns on December 6, and is “here to stay.” That means players can relive Fortnite battle royale from the start when it launched in September 2017 and explore the OG map, collect OG loot, and relive OG seasons.

Epic Games announced in a post on X that Fortnite OG is “combing BACK and is here to stay” starting December 6. That means players can experience the original map and loot starting with Chapter 1, Season 1 from all the way back in 2017, when Fortnite was less of the pop culture metaverse juggernaut it is today.
