Officers fatally shot Andrew Engel, 26, after responding to call of a man who was reportedly suicidal and in possession of a knife

The incident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. Jan. 13, when a resident of an apartment complex in the 1100 block of E Street made an emergency call to report that his roommate was suicidal, according to the San Diego Police Department.

On Monday, authorities released footage captured by the body-worn camera of one of the San Diego Police officers involved in a fatal shooting earlier this month.
