Pacific Coast Highway and the Pacific Palisades neighborhood are reopening to the public this weekend despite concerns from some local residents and officials who fear it's too soon to allow wide access to the fire-damaged area.

Despite ongoing cleanup and restoration efforts following the Palisades Fire, a portion of the Pacific Coast Highway reopened Sunday to traffic.

Although the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu is reopened, the general public is still not allowed into the Palisades area.
