Tropical Storm Leslie May Become a Hurricane Soon
Leslie had winds of 40 miles per hour as it became a tropical storm in the Atlantic late Wednesday. Forecasters expect it to become a hurricane in a couple of days as it slowly moves northwest, the National Hurricane Center said in its latest advisory.

Tropical Storm Leslies forms in the Atlantic becoming the 12th named storm of the 2024 hurricane season. This storm will also stay far out to sea having no impact on Louisiana or the U.S. Hurricane Kirk also became the 3rd major hurricane of the season on Wednesday.
