The Steelers released Terrell Edmunds, marking his second departure from Pittsburgh after stints with multiple teams since 2023.

Ahead of the Week 10 matchup with the Washington Commanders, the Pittsburgh Steelers have released two players with two others returning.

Matakevich, who was selected by the Steelers in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft, signed a one-year contract with Pittsburgh in mid-July. He spent his first four seasons in the NFL with the Steelers and the last four seasons with the Buffalo Bills.

Terrell Edmunds' return to Pittsburgh was short-lived, with the Steelers announcing Saturday the safety was released, just two months into his second stint with the team that launched his career, as the Steelers shuffle their roster heading into Sunday's matchup against the Washington Commanders.
