Fire authorities have issued evacuation warnings as an 85-acre wildfire burns near Canyon Crest Drive in Riverside County. The Canyon Crest fire was first reportedThursday evening and its cause remains under investigation, according to the California Department of Forestry & Fire Protection.

Canyon Crest Fire initially started 8:04 p.m. Nov. 28 in Riverside, San Bernardino County. It has burned 254 acres after being active for 23 hours. A fire crew of 74 succeeded in containing 15% of the fire as of Friday evening. The blaze's cause remains under investigation.
