BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Officials say two people were badly burned and two others are believed to be dead after an explosion and fire destroyed a gas station in a small north-central Idaho town.

A dramatic photo showed large black smoke billowing from orange flames at the site along Idaho 11 east of Lewiston.

An explosion at an Idaho gas station on Wednesday left two dead and two others critically injured, according to the Idaho Dept. of Insurance.

Investigators located two bodies Friday morning while searching the rubble of a remote gas station in north-central Idaho that burst into flames in a violent explosion. The explosion on Wednesday afternoon while a semitruck with two fuel tank trailers were at the station sent four people to hospitals.

Idaho State Fire Marshal's office confirms 2 people were found dead under the rubble of the gas station on Thursday. Their identities have not been released yet.
