Hurricane Milton made landfall near Siesta Key, Florida, Wednesday night. The storm is on track to rake across the Florida peninsula after landfall and head into the Atlantic Ocean. Maps show Milton is expected to flood parts of Florida's Gulf Coast with storm surge as high as 9 to 13 feet.

Palm Beach County is under a tropical storm warning through Thursday and a tornado watch through 9 p.m. Wednesday. County officials issued evacuation orders Tuesday for residents living in Zone A — made up of low-lying inland areas not necessarily along the coast — as the state braces for the landfall.
