Minnesota House Democrats have returned to the state Capitol after reaching a power-sharing agreement with Republicans, ending a stalemate that prevented the chamber from conducting business for more than three weeks.

The stalemate in the Minnesota House that has paralyzed the chamber for weeks is poised to end Thursday, after leaders in both parties said they reached an agreement on how they will move forward with the legislative session.

Senate Budget chair Graham wants to plow forward on a funding package that bundles border security and defense spending as the House continues to struggle with its plan.

Senate Budget Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham told reporters on Wednesday that he expects to begin marking up a budget resolution that will also direct committees to find offsets for the new spending with hopes of Senate action in coming weeks.
