PENSACOLA, Fla. (WEAR) — Matt Gaetz defeated Gay Valimont Tuesday to win the race for the Florida District 1 Congressional seat. Gaetz, a Republican, earned 66% of the vote, while Valimont, a Democrat, earned 34 %, according to Associated Press.
