San Bernardino County Public Works Department crews are intensifying flood control efforts to protect communities following the Bridge Fire and nearly-contained Line Fire, officials announced last week.

A new wildfire was reported today at 4:21 p.m. in San Bernardino County. Sheep Fire has been burning on private land. At this time, the containment status is unknown and the cause of the fire remains undetermined.

For the first time, a County resident has been infected with dengue virus locally in the city of San Bernardino. The county Department of Public Health announced the infection on Thursday, Nov. 7. Previous cases of dengue in the county were seen in people who had traveled to places where the virus is more commonly found.
