Babar Azam quickly became a doctor on the field and came to the rescue of his teammate Shaheen Shah Afridi, who got injured during the Perth ODI against Australia on Sunday, November 10.

Pakistan defeated Australia 2-1 in the three-match ODI series to clinch the bilateral series for the first time since 2002.

Shaheen had been struck on the thumb of his bowling arm and was clearly in pain.

As Australia pacer Sean Abbott completed his run, a throw from the field towards Shaheen Shah Afridi awkwardly hit his finger and the latter was seen in immense pain. Babar Azam rushed towards him and was seen helping him fix the injury.
