The public is invited to pay tribute to Carter by signing the wall and door raised at the Arnot Mall by Chemung, Steuben and Schuyler volunteers.

Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity honored former President Jimmy Carter on Thursday at one of its construction sites. The organization, along with members of the community, gathered to raise a wall with a door to represent the many doors of opportunity Carter opened through his service to Habitat.

The Cape Fear Chapter of Habitat for Humanity held a memorial service for the late President Jimmy Carter. Several people from the community gathered to remember the former Commander and Chief.
