LOS ANGELES (AP) — Cooper Kupp was a driving force when the Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl to cap the 2021 season, culminating with his winning touchdown catch.
The McVay and Whitworth families donated $400,000 to two organizations, the LAFD Foundation and the Pasadena Community Foundation. Inspired by this, Cooper Kupp pledged to match up to $500,000 for each organization to raise an additional $1M in relief funding.
“Nothing close to things that are happening in the real world,” Kupp said, “but it is an opportunity for us to draw closer together and say ‘let’s be able to respond from a little bit of hardship here and go out there and do something special.’”
