Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will travel to Washington next week for talks with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

The two leaders will meet on Thursday. Vice President Kamala Harris will meet with Zelenskyy separately as well, according to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

Zelenskyy has repeatedly called for the lifting of restrictions on the use of western-supplied, long-range weapons so that Ukraine’s military can strike Russian airfields and missile launchers, as well as ammunition depots, fuel storage and command and control centres that are key to Moscow’s war.
