Superstar Rajinikanth was discharged from Chennai hospital on October 3 at around 11 pm. He had a non-surgical procedure where a stent was placed in his heart on October 1.

The 73-year-old Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospitals here on September 30. The hospital said in a medical bulletin that he had a swelling in the main blood vessel leaving his heart (the Aorta), which was treated by a non-surgical, transcatheter method.

Rajinikanth, who was recently admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Chennai after complaining of ill health, was discharged from the facility on Thursday night.
