The season was going well for the Calgary Flames one week ago. Less so for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Seven days later, the tide has turned for each team before Saturday night's contest in Pittsburgh.

The Flames fell 5-2 to the Blue Jackets on Friday in a matinee and then hopped a plane to Pittsburgh to face Sidney Crosby and the Penguins tonight (5 p.m. MT, Sportsnet). Calgary will look to regroup and bounce back, hoping to end this four-game road trip with a win after going 0-2-1 so far.

Vladar, a former teammate of Johnny Gaudreau, paid tribute to the late NHL All-Star and his brother on his helmet. Johnny, 31, and his brother Matthew, 29, died Aug. 29 when they were struck by an alleged drunk driver who has been charged with two counts of death by auto, while riding bicycles near their home in Salem County, New Jersey.
