Ford is looking to take some of the sting out of EV charging by offering a free home charger. The automaker will even send out a technician to install it at no cost to you if you buy or lease a retail Mustang Mach-E,

Today, the company launched a new initiative called the “Ford Power Promise,” in which it will provide a suite of benefits to customers who buy or lease a new EV. And chief among them is a complimentary home charger for all new customers, as well as the costs of standard installation.

Starting Oct. 1, Ford is offering customers who buy or lease an EV a free home charger and complimentary installation through the end of the year.

Ford is knocking down one of the largest hurdles to electric vehicle (EV) ownership. Starting October 1, with the purchase or lease of a Ford electric vehicle, customers are eligible to receive a complimentary Ford Charge Station Pro home charger and standard installation at their home.

Ford recently announced the Ford Power Promise to enhance the convenience and support for electric vehicle owners. This initiative focuses on three main areas: home charging, on-the-road charging, and battery confidence.

Those who purchase a Ford EV from now until Jan. 2, 2025, will get a free charger and installation under a new initiative the company is calling the Ford Power Promise.
