Angel Nieves of Springfield died in a shooting in Cambridge, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s office.

A Springfield man was killed on Monday after a shooting outside a residence in Cambridge, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan’s office said. Just before 11:30 p.m., Cambridge police received a report about multiple gunshots on Clifton Street, Ryan’s office said in a statement on Tuesday.

In a brief statement, police said officers responded to Clifton Street around 11:30 p.m. to investigate a report of multiple gunshots.
