The Philippines' embattled vice president on Wednesday accused President Ferdinand Marcos Jr of seeking to remove her from office, after the national police filed a formal complaint accusing her of assault and coercion.

YS Sharmila wrote a letter to Andhra Pradesh governor regarding the Adani Group's bribery allegations. In the letter, she exposed irregularities in power agreements, and asked for an investigation into the disparities.

The development comes after US authorities framed Gautam Adani and other executives of the group for allegedly paying $265 million in bribes to Indian to to Indian government officials to secure solar energy contracts.
