PEOPLE can exclusively reveal the trailer for Ellen DeGeneres's upcoming Netflix comedy special 'For Your Approval,' set to premiere on Sept. 24. The special features the comedian discussing what her life has been like since getting "kicked out of show business" and joking about her "be kind" catchphrase.

The comedian returns to the stand-up stage for the first time in six years, joking that if her "Be kind" motto had instead been "Go f*** yourselves," maybe things would have gone differently.

Basically, a bunch of former staffers claimed Ellen was not as nice behind the scenes as she appeared when the cameras were rolling. “Here’s the problem. I’m the comedian who got a talk show and ended the show every day by saying ‘Be kind to one another,
