The Bucks had been stuck in New Orleans, where they had arrived Monday to prepare to face the Pelicans on Wednesday. That game got postponed after a historic winter storm Tuesday dumped about a foot of snow there, with many of the city’s roads remaining coated in ice a day later.

After being snowbound in New Orleans, the Bucks got to Milwaukee on Thursday about two hours before game time — and then routed Miami.

After being grounded in New Orleans all week by a historic winter storm and arriving in Milwaukee a little more than two hours before tipoff Thursday, the Bucks won their fifth straight game in convincing fashion.

The Milwaukee Bucks began their game Thursday against the Miami Heat colder than the winter air outside Fiserv Forum. They missed 11 of their first 12 shots on the way to falling behind 20-5 to the shorthanded Heat.
