Incumbent Republican Rep. Marc Molinaro has says he is waiting for every vote to be counted while facing a stiff challenge by Democrat challenger Josh Riley in New York's Congressional District 19 race.

The AP reported that just some 3,500 votes are separating the Republican and Democrat Josh Riley as of Wednesday afternoon.

Unofficial results show Riley leading Republican Congressman Marc Molinaro by fewer than 4,000 votes. Riley declared victory during a speech in Ithaca Tuesday night. Molinaro did not concede, arguing there are still absentee and affidavit ballots to be counted.
