We are tracking for the trade winds to bring a few passing showers into the night and then lots of leeward sunshine during the day.Moderate to locally breezy trade winds will hold through the end of the week.

The National Weather Service predicts clearer skies and typical dry season weather for Oahu and Kauai with steady trade winds.

Weather remains stable as the islands are between a weak high-pressure system to the south and a distant low-pressure system to the north. A weakening low-pressure system about 700 miles north of Oahu is slowly moving west.

Overnight, there are partly cloudy skies with passing trade wind showers. Lows are in the middle of the 70s. For Tuesday, there will be moderate trades out of the eastern-northeast wind at 15 to 20 mph.

Light to moderate trade winds will gradually diminish Sunday. Light and variable winds are expected through Wednesday, with mostly clear nights and mornings, and warm and muggy afternoons with a slight chance of pop-up showers.

Light winds will continue overnight due to a weakening weather system north of Kauai. Expect a gradual clearing in most areas, with some land breezes. Light trade winds may bring a few clouds and showers,
