A First Alert has been issued for North Texas on Monday due to the threat of strong and severe storms capable of producing tornadoes, large hail, damaging winds, and localized flooding. Be prepared for an active day and have multiple ways to receive warnings.

At least 11 people were injured after tornadoes tore through the Oklahoma City area overnight, emergency officials said on Sunday. In the hours that followed, the DFW area was put on notice for potential severe weather - and the Metroplex is bracing for possible storms tomorrow.

Severe thunderstorms are erupting once again and will continue into the evening from northeastern Texas to southwestern Missouri, according to the FOX Forecast Center. Tornadoes, a couple of which may be strong, and damaging winds will be the main hazards with any severe storms.
