Tamil star Rajinikanth recently released his first statement after he was discharged from the hospital, where he had undergone a planned procedure. In a special note that the megastar shared, he thanked his well-wishers for praying for his recovery and for sharing all his love with love.

A medical bulletin released on October 1 confirmed the details of Rajinikanth’s treatment noting that the actor was stable and responding well to the procedure.

Rajinikanth, who was recently admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai due to health concerns, has been discharged. He left the hospital around 11 PM on Thursday (October 3), as confirmed by Chennai Police.

The 73-year-old had a swelling in the main blood vessel leaving his heart which, according to his doctor, was treated by a non-surgical method.

Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospitals on September 30. The actor will be next seen on the big screen in Vettaiyan, set to release on October 10.
