Oil prices eased slightly in choppy trade on Thursday with Brent still below $70 under pressure from trade tariffs between the U.S., Canada, Mexico and China, and OPEC+ plans to raise output.

Oil futures declined on Tuesday, with global benchmark prices touching their lowest level since September, a day after the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies said they would proceed with plans to unwind some production curbs in April.

OIL settled largely unchanged in choppy trade on Thursday, with global benchmark Brent closing below US$70 a barrel under pressure from tariffs between the US, Canada, and China, and plans by Opec+ to raise output.
