Jimmy Butler has been suspended indefinitely by the Miami Heat in the latest twist in one of the more dramatic public feuds between player and team in recent NBA history. The drama began at the end of last season,

Butler apparently walked out of shootaround Monday morning after learning the team wasn't going to start him in their game against the Orlando Magic, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. Haywood Highsmith will start in his place. Butler was set to return to the team Monday after serving a two-game suspension.

Butler has been suspended for the third time this month by the Heat, this one starting basically just as the second one was ending. The team said Monday that Butler left Monday’s shootaround early, in advance of a game against the Orlando Magic. He is expected to miss at least five games.
