The ruling NDA alliance of BJP, Sena (Shinde camp) and NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) has put up its best-ever performance in Maharashtra with leads and wins combined in over 232 seats, restricting the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance to a score of under 50.

At 1 pm, the trends showed that the NDA was leading on 224 seats out of the total 288 in Maharashtra, while the INDIA bloc was ahead on 51 of the 81 seat Jharkhand Assembly

The BJP's stellar performance in the state elections catapulted the ruling Mahayuti alliance past the 200-mark.

Shiv Sena ruling alliance - Mahayuti - hit the majority mark of 145 after a flying start and is leading on over 220 seats in current leads. The MVA, meanwhile, is struggling to narrow down the gap and is leading on around 55 seats.
