Shiv Sena leader and caretaker Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, on Wednesday (November 27, 2024) declared that his party will support the BJP central leadership’s decision on the next chief minister of the State.

Maharashtra caretaker Chief Minister and Shiv Sena Chief Leader Eknath Shinde said on Wednesday that the decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the post of the chief minister will be final.

Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde today (27 November) claimed that he has left the decision to choose Maharashtra Chief Minister (CM) to Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has backed Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to make a comeback as the Maharashtra Chief Minister. The RSS functionaries believe that it was Fadnavis' face due to which people supported the BJP.

The Mahayuti swept the polls to the 288-member assembly, with BJP bagging 132 seats, Shiv Sena getting 57 and 41 going into the kitty of the NCP.
