Leona Maguire remained on track for a first win on the Ladies European Tour after carding a second round 72 to add to her opening 66 for 138 to take a two-stroke lead over Solheim Cup team-mate Georgia Hall in the Aramco Series by PIF at The Centurion Club outside London.

"I regret to announce that I must withdraw from next week's Ladies European Tour tournament in London," Korda posted on her social media. "On Saturday in Seattle, I was bitten by a dog and need time to receive treatment and recover fully.

Nelly Korda announced on Friday that she is withdrawing from next week's event in London on the Ladies European Tour after being bitten by a dog. Korda, who won the event last year, said she suffered the injury while in Seattle for last week's Women’s PGA Championship.

For the second time this season, a dog bite has sidelined a prominent LPGA player. This time it’s World No. 1 Nelly Korda, who posted on Instagram that the incident took place last Saturday in Seattle.
