Traverse City — The Red Wings put together an exciting end to last season that almost culminated with a playoff berth. Captain Dylan Larkin said Thursday he thought about the Wings' final home game at Little Caesars Arena, with Lucas Raymond's dramatic goal in the waning seconds, and how the crowd erupted.

"I know I have a next level," Larkin said Thursday at the opening day of Red Wings training camp. "I would like to see what I can do. I'd like to be a dominant player like I have been when I'm healthy. And that's a big thing for me is staying healthy this year and trying to dominate."

Moritz Seider, No. 1 on the team's defense depth chart, wasn't at Centre Ice Arena Thursday because the restricted free agent still does not have a new contract.
