Great place to visit to view the history of movies and media. Allow at least an hour to walk through and I like that there are lots of interactive exhibits so you can have a play. The ACMI lens is a … Full review by The_Chappells

Can you elaborate on how the hours were wasted? Im thinking of flying up one morning, getting in as early as possible and then flying out of Melbourne that night. But i'm worried that might not be enough time to enjoy the show if i book the 10am Saturday session?

I have not seen the David Bowie show, but many friends of different ages have and all have enjoyed it immensely. As others have told you, you may spend as much time as you like looking at the show. If you are going to the expense and bother of flying to Melbourne, you really should consider staying overnight to make the most of the city. So much to see and do - and eat! Hotels along Flinders Street, like the Rendevous are very close, as are those in Southbank. Sydney has a beautiful setting but Melbourne has a lot of charm and is easy to navigate. Look for a hotel deal and please enjoy the city! (Also, the Skybus will take you from Tullamarine Airport right into the city. Much easier than struggling with the trains from Sydney airport.)
