Also, even with small raw files, when you zoom in and pan around the image, the image freezes every time you move it. “Normal” Lightroom (non-classic) runs a lot smoother.

Nothing wrong with saving money, its not like the M1 Air is a bad computer and you may prefer the wedge design. Spend the money you saved upgrading the RAM.
