I've personally stuck to Silver as I've only seen minimal visible scratches after 13 yrs ownership of a well traveled MBP. I have always disliked the stark contrast between the black keyboard and siler and really did not like the black keyboard and frame in the 14/16" MBP on the silver. If I could not get Midnight I would probably choose silver as I don't like the in between color that is space grey.

So this may sound goofy, but I went with the silver on the 15" Air because I had the midnight on the 13" M2 Air but found that I was constantly having to turn on a light when plugging in my USB-C power adapter to charge. The small ports are near invisible agains the dark blue metal.
